08 /06.11.2025: I.A. No.13544 of 2025 By filing this interlocutory application, the appellant, namely, Madhu Oraon @ Matal Oraon @ Madhav has renewed his prayer to suspend the sentence and release him on bail during the pendency of this appeal.

2. The appellant has been convicted in connection with in S.T. Case No. 471 of 2013, for the offence under Sections 302/34, 364A/34, 201/34 and 120B of the Indian Penal Code and Section 27 of the Arms Act. He has been sentenced to undergo RI for life under Sections 302/34, 364A/34 and 120-B of the Indian Penal Code, along with other sentences for these offences.

3. Heard, the learned counsel for the appellant and learned A.P.P. for the State and have gone through the impugned judgment, the evidence and the Trial Court Records.

4. Learned counsel for the appellant submits that the appellant has remained in custody for more than 12 years and one of the similarly situated co-convicts namely, Suraj Mahto @ Suraj Gope has already been enlarged on bail after suspension of sentence in Cr. Appeal (D.B.) No.1 of 2023.

5. Learned counsel for the State admits the aforesaid fact.

After hearing the parties and after considering the period of custody of the appellant which is 12 years and as there is no likelihood of this appeal to be taken up in near future, appellant, named above is directed to be released on bail during the pendency of this appeal, on furnishing bail bonds of Rs.10,000/- (Rs. Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Addl. A.J.C.-XV, Ranchi, in connection with S.T. Case No.471 of 2013, arising out of Ratu P.S. Case No.28 of 2013 with a condition that one of the bailers must be a close relative of the appellant and with a further condition that the appellant shall appear and mark his attendance before the Registrar, Civil Court, Ranchi once in every six months till the disposal of this appeal.

7. Accordingly, the instant interlocutory application being I.A. No.13544 of 2025 stands allowed.
