M. S. Ramachandra Rao, C.J (Oral)

1. This application is filed under Section 5 of the Limitation Act, 1963 to condone delay of 561 days in filing this appeal challenging the judgment of the learned Single Judge dismissing the writ petition filed by the petitioner.

2. Though certain reasons are assigned in the application seeking condonation of delay including a plea about serious financial crunch in arranging funds for filing of the appeal, we are not satisfied since the applicant had claimed admission to the B.Tech course in the N.R.I. category and therefore, the plea of lack of funds cannot be accepted.

3. We are satisfied that sufficient cause has not been shown by the petitioner for condoning the said inordinate period of delay.

4. Therefore, this application is dismissed and consequently, the appeal is dismissed.
