1. Heard the parties.

2. Altogether four accused persons were convicted and

sentenced by the trial court vide common judgment and

order. However, appeal regarding three appellants namely

Tungir Korah, Rami Rai Sirka and Jogen Purty have preferred

the appeals.

3. It is submitted by learned counsel for the appellant that one of

the appellant namely Jogen Purty had preferred Cr.A (SJ)

1542 of 2007 which may be abated due to death of the sole

appellant.

4. Considering the above, it is clear from the records that Jogen

Purty had died 12 years ago. In respect of this, the appeal

related to Jogen Purty in Cr.A (SJ) 1542 of 2007 stands abated.

5. Learned A.P.P. is directed to submit report as to what

happened about the case of Naranga Sirka. Whether he has

sustained the sentence or has also filed any appeal and what

is the stage of the appeal, if filed any.

6. List these cases on 29.01.2025.
