05 /01.07.2024: I.A. No.6154 of 2024 This interlocutory application has been filed by the appellant, praying therein to suspend the sentence and release him on bail during pendency of this appeal.

2. The appellant has been convicted and sentenced in connection with in S.T. No.131 of 2022, arising out of Noamundi P.S. Case No.20 of 2022, for the offence under Sections 302/201 of IPC. He has been sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for life and fine amount of Rs.10,000/- and in default of payment of fine further to under to S.I. of 01 year for the offence under Section 302 of IPC along with other sentences.

3. Heard, the learned counsel for the appellant and learned A.P.P. for the State and have gone through the impugned judgment, the evidence and the Trial Court Records.

4. Opportunity was given to the State to oppose the bail, which the State availed and opposed.

5. The report of the Forensic Science Laboratory suggest that the murder weapon contains the blood stains of the deceased. The blood of the deceased was also sent for Forensic Science Examination and the same matched with the blood found in the murder weapon and towel of this appellant.

6. Be that as it may, since the murder weapon was recovered on the basis of the confessional statement and pointing out of this appellant, we are not inclined to release the appellant on bail.

7. Accordingly, I.A. No.6154 of 2024 stands dismissed.
