18/ 28.03.2023 Appellant husband's Matrimonial Suit No. 426 of 2016 for dissolution of marriage with the respondent wife on grounds of cruelty and desertion has been dismissed by the learned Family court, Jamshedpur by impugned judgment dated 12th January, 2017 and decree dated 20th January, 2017. Earlier, mediation has failed. However, today when the matter is taken up, learned counsel for the respondent wife has proposed that if the appellant is agreeable to pay a lump sum amount of Rs. 5,00,000/- as permanent alimony, the matter can be amicably settled. The parties have been living separately since long and there is a daughter born out from the wedlock on 13th January, 2014.
Learned counsel for the appellant submits that he would be seeking instruction on the offer made by the respondent.
Accordingly, list this case on 31st March, 2023.
