07 / 03.03.2022 Original Suit No. 53/2017 instituted under section 11 of Hindu Marriage Act for declaration of marriage of the plaintiff-appellant with the defendant- Respondent as null and void, has been dismissed on contest by the impugned judgment dated 15.06.2020 passed by the learned Principal Judge, Family Court, Giridih.

However, at the outset, learned counsel for the parties agree that an effort can be made for amicable settlement of matrimonial dispute between the parties through mediation at this appellate stage also. Parties are willing to attend mediation proceedings physically at JHALSA. Appellant belongs to Dhanbad while Respondent resides in Giridih.

3. In that view of the matter, let the parties approach the learned Member Secretary, JHALSA on 11.03.2022 at 10.30 am. He can also be approached on the following phone nos.

4. On their appearance, matter be placed before the learned Mediator, JHALSA for undertaking the exercise. Parties are expected to cooperate in mediation proceeding with an open mind and attend each of the sittings. Appellant shall pay a sum of Rs. 1,250/- towards incidental and travelling expenses to the Respondent on each date she attends the mediation, in presence of the learned Mediator, JHALSA. Initially mediation may be conducted on successive dates as the parties have to come from distant places. Subsequent sitting of the mediation be held as per the convenience of the parties. If the parties are able to arrive at an amicable settlement, terms and conditions thereof be reduced in writing under their joint signature and be submitted along with the report four weeks thereafter.

5. Let the matter be listed in the week of 25th April 2022 along with the report.
