08/29.06.2021 Respondent has entered appearance upon notice through Vakalatnama.

The appellant is aggrieved by the dismissal of the Original Suit No.380/2016 seeking divorce under Section 13(1)(i-a) of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955 by the impugned judgment dated 20.12.2019 passed by learned Principal Judge, Family Court, Bokaro and decree signed on 06.01.2020.

It appears that an effort for amicable settlement of the matrimonial dispute should be made through mediation at this appellate stage before adjudication on merits in view of the spirit of the Family Courts Act, 1984.

Accordingly, let the parties appear before the learned Member Secretary, JHALSA on 9th July 2021 either physically or online. Learned Member Secretary, JHALSA can be approached on the following phone numbers :-

Parties should inform beforehand whether they are willing to join mediation physically or online. On their appearance, matter be placed before the learned Mediator for undertaking the exercise. Parties should cooperate in the mediation proceedings and attend each of the sittings. If the respondent attends mediation physically, the appellant shall have to pay a sum of Rs.1,500/- to the respondent on each date she attends mediation, in presence of learned Mediator, JHALSA. If the parties are able to arrive at an amicable settlement, terms and conditions thereof be reduced in writing by the learned Mediator, JHALSA and be submitted along with the report four weeks thereafter.

Let the matter be listed in the week of 16th August, 2021 along with the report.
