09/23.12.2021: This criminal revision has been filed against the judgment dated 03.05.2018 passed by learned Addl. Sessions Judge-XIII, East Singhbhum at Jamshedpur in Cr. Appeal No.154 of 2014 whereby and whereunder the petitioner has been convicted and sentenced to undergo simple imprisonment for six months with compensation amount for the offence under Section 138 of the N.I. Act, affirming the judgment dated 18.09.2014 passed by learned Judicial Magistrate, 1st Class, Jamshedpur in C/1 Case No.21 of 2012 (T.R. No.574 of 2014).
It has been submitted by both the parties that the matter has been settled outside the court and money has been transacted. The offence is compoundable under Section 147 of the Negotiable Instruments Act.
In view of the settlement of dispute, the matter is hereby compounded and the impugned judgments dated 03.05.2018 and 18.09.2014 are hereby, set aside.
Accordingly, this criminal revision is allowed and disposed of.
