23.02.2021 There is a delay of 138 days in filing this appeal by the Union Territory.
In the delay condonation application it has been stated that the Law Department took time to grant permission, that is about five months, but nowhere it has been stated as and when the judgment was placed before the Law Department and why the Law Department could not grant sanction earlier.
Shri Shah Aamir, learned counsel appearing for the appellant-UT is directed to file a better affidavit disclosing the reason why the Law Department could not take action in the matter earlier and as to when the file was placed before the Law Department. The affidavit may be filed within four weeks.
