BEFORE
HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE DEVASHIS BARUAH
ORDER
Date : 25.07.2025
It has been submitted by Mr. G. Pegu, the learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of the District Commissioner, Dhemaji that the amount of Rs.1,97,06,608/- have already been paid to the petitioner in terms with the judgment and order dated 15.05.2023.
2. Taking into account the above, this Court treats the said payment to be in compliance with the order dated 15.05.2023 passed in WP(C) No.4825/2018 and accordingly drops the present contempt proceedings.
3. Before parting with the record, this Court however observes that satisfaction recorded herein to the order dated 15.05.2023 passed in WP(C) No.4825/2018 shall not preclude the petitioners in WP(C) No.4825/2018 to seek a reference on account of inadequacy of compensation, if otherwise permissible under law.
