23-07-2025 (S. K. Medhi, J) Heard Ms. S. Khataniar, learned Legal Aid Counsel for the applicant, who has filed Page No.# 2/2

this application under Section 430 of the BNSS, 2023 for suspension of sentence and to allow him to go on bail.

The connected appeal preferred against the judgment and order dated 18.03.2025 passed by the learned Sessions Judge Golaghat, in Session Case No. 25/2023 whereby the accused/appellant and sentenced to undergo RI for life and to pay fine of Rs.10,000/- only, under Section 302 IPC and in default of payment of fine, he shall undergo RI for another 6 months has been admitted today.

Let notice be issued, returnable by 6 (six) weeks. Shri R. R. Kaushik, learned Addl. PP, Assam accepts notice on behalf of the State respondent.

Let steps be taken for service of notice upon the respondent no. 2 in the manner prescribed within 3 (three) days.
