Heard Shri A. Bhattacharya, learned counsel for the appellant, who has preferred this appeal against Judgment dated 14.06.2024 and sentence order dated 19.06.2024 passed by the learned Special Judge, POCSO, Kamrup (M) in Special (POCSO) Case No. 54/2023 Section 6 of the POCSO Act, R/W Section 376AB IPC convicting the accused - appellant u/s 6 of the POCSO Act, R/w Section 376 AB of the IPC and thereby sentenced the appellant to rigorous imprisonment for 20 years and fine of Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) i/d simple imprisonment for another 6 months.

Since Ms. S. Jahan, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, Assam has entered appearance and accepts notice on behalf of State respondent No. 1, issuance of formal notice to the said respondent is dispensed with.

Let steps for service of notice upon the respondent no.2 be taken in the manner prescribed through the Office of the Public Prosecutor, Assam within 2 (two) working days from today.
