06.01.2025 (S.K. Medhi, J) Heard Shri K.M. Haloi, learned counsel for the appellant, who has preferred this appeal against Judgment and order dated 28.11.2024 passed by the Court of learned Additional Sessions Judge, Chirang in Sessions Case No. 158/2018 whereby appellants have been convicted under Section 396 of the Indian Penal Code and sentenced to undergo imprisonment for life and to pay a fine of Rs. 50,000/- (Rupees Fifty Thousand) each.

Since Ms. S. Jahan, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, Assam has entered appearance and accepts notice on behalf of State respondent No. 1, issuance of formal notice to the said respondent is dispensed with.
