learned counsel for the applicant. Also heard Ms. A. Begum, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, Assam for the opposite party no.1 and Mr. A.K. Bhuyan, learned counsel for the informant/ opposite party no.2.

This is an application for extending the period of the interim bail granted to the applicant by the Hon'ble Supreme Court till the main appeal is decided.

The learned counsels for the parties in the main appeal have been heard and the case has been reserved for judgment today. However, the learned counsels for the parties have taken 4 (four) days' time, to file the list of cases in support of their submissions with regard to the main appeal. Accordingly, the main appeal has been reserved for judgment and in the meantime, the applicant's child who is suffering from leukemia, needs to go for further evaluation to the Cancer Centre at Kolkata, wherein her appointment has been fixed on 18.08.2025.

Keeping in view of the above fact, we extend the bail granted to the applicant for a further period of 2 (two) weeks. The applicant should thereafter surrender before the Jail authorities on 29.08.2025.

The I.A.(Crl.) is accordingly disposed off.
