Heard Mr. R. Baruah, learned counsel for the appellant.
By the impugned judgment dated 02-04-2024 the sole appellant has been convicted under Section 4 of the POCSO Act and sentenced to undergo RI for 20 years and also to pay fine.
We have perused the grounds taken in the memo of appeal.
Admit the appeal.
Call for the LCR.
Since Ms. S.H. Bora, learned Addl. P.P. Assam has accepted notice on behalf of respondent No. 1, no formal notice is required to be sent to the said respondent.
Appellant to, however, take steps for service of notice upon respondent No. 2/ complainant by registered post with A/D.
