This is a jail appeal against the judgment dated 19.06.2023 passed by the Court of the Special Judge (POCSO), Tinsukia, in POCSO Case No.115/2022, arising out of Lekhapani P.S. Case No.163/2021, by which the appellant has Page No.# 2/2

been convicted under Section 6 of the POCSO Act and sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for 20 years with a fine of Rs.20,000/-, in default simple imprisonment for 4 months.

Issue Notice returnable in 4 (four) weeks.

Admit the appeal.

Call for the LCR.

Mr. K.K. Das, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appears for the State.

Registry to give a soft copy of the appeal to Mr. K.K. Das, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, who shall forward the same to the O.C. of the concerned police station, for service of the same to the victim/guardian of the victim/informant. The I.O. shall thereafter give a report on the service of notice.
