Heard Mr. U. Choudhury, learned counsel for the appellant. Also heard Ms. S.

Jahan, learned Addl. P.P. Assam appearing on behalf of the State.

This appeal is preferred against the judgment dated 01-09-2022 and the order of

sentence dated 05-09-2022 passed by the learned Sessions Judge, Chirang at Kajalgaon

in connection with Sessions Case No. 42/2018 arising out of Sidli P.S. Case No. 41/2017

whereby the appellant was convicted under Section 302 IPC and sentenced to undergo

rigorous imprisonment for life and also to pay fine of Rs. 75,000/- with default stipulation.

We have perused the grounds taken in the memo of appeal and have also heard

the submissions advanced by the learned counsel for both sides.

Admit the appeal.

Call for the LCR.

Issue notice returnable in 06 weeks.

Since Ms. Jahan, learned Addl. P.P. Assam has accepted notice on behalf of the

respondent No. 1, no formal notice is required to be sent to the said respondent.
