This application under Section 397/401 Cr.P.C. is preferred by the petitioner Smti Anurupa Borah challenging the legality and validity of the Judgment & Order dated 19.12.2019 passed by the learned Additional Sessions Judge, Kamrup, Amingaon in Criminal Appeal No. 21/2018.

It is to be mentioned here that vide impugned judgment and order, the learned Additional Sessions Judge, Kamrup, Amingaon dismissed the appeal, thereby affirmed the Judgment & Order dated 13.09.2018, passed by the learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Kamrup, Amingaon in C.R. Case No. 274/2016, whereby the learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate convicted the accused-petitioner under Section 138 NI Act and sentenced him to suffer imprisonment for a period of 3 months and also to pay a sum of Rs. 15,00,000/- as compensation and in default to suffer simple imprisonment for another six months.

Heard Ms. R.R. Muzib, learned counsel for the petitioner. Also heard Ms. S. Jahan, learned Addl. P.P. for the State of Assam.

Let Notice be issued returnable in 3(three) weeks.

Steps be taken by Registered Post with A/D and also by usual process within a week from today. Also call for the record from the learned Court below.
