Mr. L.R. Mazumder, learned counsel for the applicant-appellant. This application under Section 389 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 [CrPC] has been preferred seeking suspension of sentence and bail. The connected appeal has been preferred against the judgment and order dated 07.05.2019 passed by the learned Assistant Sessions Judge, Darrang, Mangaldai in Sessions Case no. 54[DM-4]/2017 whereby the applicant-appellant has been convicted under Sections 448/376(1), Indian Penal Code [IPC] and sentenced him to undergo rigorous imprisonment for 10 [ten] years and a fine of Rs. 10,000/-, in default, simple imprisonment for 6 [six] months and also rigorous imprisonment for 6 [six] months and a fine of Rs. 10,000/-, in default, simple imprisonment for 1 [one] month.

Mr. K.K. Parasar, learned Additional Public Prosecutor has submitted that the case be posted on 29.10.2021 in order to enable him to go through the LCR.
