        CORAM:
        HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE S.P.GARG

S.P.GARG, J. (ORAL)

1. The petitioner seeks anticipatory bail in case FIR No.51/2016 registered under Sections 384/385/355/120B/34 IPC at Police Station Welcome. Status report/Additional status report are on record.

2. I have heard the learned counsel for the parties and have examined the file. On perusal of the file, it reveals that the complainant's husband-Prem Chand was involved in case FIR No.47/2016 registered under Section 354/506 IPC and Section 10 of POCSO at Police Station Welcome lodged by one Geeta on 22.01.2016. Allegations against the petitioner are that she and her associates being office bearers of Mahila Panchayat Sabla Sangh intervened in the said matter and pressurized Prem Chand to pay `50,000/- to settle the dispute. When Prem Chand declined to pay `50,000/-

his face was painted in black. It is further alleged that subsequently on 20.01.2016, the petitioner and Ram Piari came to complainant's house and demanded `50,000/-. They were forced to pay `10,000/- to the petitioner. It is further alleged that the complainant and her husband were insulted; Prem Chand was falsely implicated in the case of molestation.

3. Police file reveals that notice bearing No.3470 on the letter head of 'Mahila Panchayat Sabla Sangh' dated 19.01.2016 was issued to Prem Chand for his appearance on 19.1.2016 at around 2.00 p.m. Proceedings record that on 19.01.2016 at 2.00 p.m. fine of `50,000/- was imposed upon him as social sanction.

4. Allegations against the petitioner are serious whereby she, instead of lodging report with the police or assisting the victim in the molestation case to lodge FIR, pressurized the complainant and her husband to pay `50,000/- to settle the dispute. Fine of `50,000/- was imposed upon Prem Chand. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor informed that in video recorded in the mobile, `10,000/- are shown to have been accepted by the petitioner.

5. Considering the gravity of the offence and serious allegations whereby the petitioner attempted to run parallel proceedings to redress victim's grievance in the molestation case, it is not a fit case for grant of anticipatory bail.

6. The bail application is dismissed.
