1. Today the municipality has filed a report which has been counter

signed by the Executive Engineer amongst other engineers of Borough-

VII and records that upon physical inspection it was found that two

number of old building exist, one is two-storied and another is five-

storied and in fully occupied condition. No sanction plan has been

found for the same.

2. Having regard to the allegations made out by the petitioner, and the

disclosure made by the municipal authority in the report filed today,

the municipality is directed to carry out an inspection at premises no.

8A, Kustia Road, Ward No. 66, Borough-VII, Kolkata 700039. The

inspection report should identify whether the property in question has

been occupied and whether the same is provided with any water

connection, sewerage connection and/or electricity connection. Details

of the electricity meter, if any, should also be disclosed.

3. The inspection report should include photographs of the aforesaid

building including it façade and each of the floors, and a detailed

sketch of the building standing on the aforesaid property floor wise and

the approximate age thereof should also be disclosed in the report.

4. The report must be in the form of an affidavit, affirmed by the

Executive Engineer who shall disclose how and under what

circumstances the aforesaid buildings at premises no. 8A, Kustia Road,

Ward No. 66, Borough-VII, Kolkata 700039 had come up without his

notice.

5. List this matter along with WPO 869 of 2025 on 19 th February, 2026.
