1.5 litres of Codeine Mixture was alleged seized from the possession of the petitioner who is the sole accused person. He prays for bail.

We are told that the trial is at the stage of argument. November 04, 2024 has been fixed as the next date.

In view of commercial quantity of contraband being involved, we are not inclined to entertain the prayer of the petitioner for bail.

However, considering that the petitioner has been in custody for two years eight months, we direct the learned trial Court to conclude the trial by delivery of judgment at the earliest and positively by the end of November, 2024.
