Status report is filed by the C.I.D., West Bengal dated 05 th

October, 2023 which discloses that repeated futile attempts were

made to arrest Kurban Ali Mondal. No attempt was made to

ascertain whether any property was there in the name of Kurban

Ali Mondal which can be seized or attached. No proposition for

proclamation was issued although the report indicates that he is a

proclaimed offender. Let the report be kept on record.

The report is highly unsatisfactory. Since argument is

concluded and appeals are old, let the appeals be reserved for

delivering judgment.

A copy of the said order may be sent to the Home Secretary,

Government of West Bengal, by the learned Registrar

(Administration) for information intimating the state of affairs of

police department.
