IN THE HIGH COURT AT CALCUTTA
ORDINARY ORIGINAL CIVIL JURISDICTION
ORIGINAL SIDE
EC/465/2019
IA NO: GA/2/2022
M/S. MOHANLAL ROONGTA AND ANR
VS
UNION OF INDIA AND ORS
BEFORE:
The Hon'ble JUSTICE RAVI KRISHAN KAPUR
Date : 11th August, 2023.
Appearance:
Mrs. Aparna Banerjee, Adv.
The Court : None appears on behalf of the award holder nor is any
adjournment prayed for on their behalf even in the second call. The Union of
India is represented. It appears from the earlier order of Court that a
substantial portion of the decree had been satisfied and the award holder only
seeks payment on account of interest which is disputed.
It is submitted on behalf of the judgment debtor that the award holder
has already realized the entire decretal amount which had been deposited in
Court. Significantly, the matter had appeared on 20 July, 2023 and 17 July,
2023 when the award holder had sought for an adjournment.
As a last chance, Let this matter appear on 25 August, 2023.
In the absence of the award holder, appropriate order for dismissal
would be passed on the returnable date.
(RAVI KRISHAN KAPUR, J.) SK.
