Apprehending arrest in connection with NCB Crime
No.08/NCB/KOL/2017 under Sections 21(c)/29 of the Narcotic
Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, the present application
has been preferred.
Heard the Learned Lawyers for the petitioner as well as
the prosecution.
Mr. Dastoor, learned Additional Solicitor General
appearing for the N.C.B. submitted that the petitioner is
absconding for more than five years. Trial was splitted and
proceeded against other accused persons. 29th March, 2022 is
fixed for judgment.
On hearing the parties and considering the conduct of the
petitioner and the fact that the petitioner is absconding for more
than five years, we are not inclined to allow the anticipatory bail.
Accordingly, the application for anticipatory bail being
C.R.M.(A) 559 of 2022 is dismissed.
