The Court: By an order dated 28th July, 2022 order had been passed by

this Court directing communication of the earlier orders of this Court upon the

State Bank of India and the Axis Bank wherein the judgment debtor holds

accounts. Counsel appearing on behalf of the Axis Bank has submitted in

Court today that they have created lien of a sum of Rs. 2.46 crores on the

current account of the award debtor.

By a subsequent order dated 4th August, 2022 this Court has directed

the petitioner (award debtor) to deposit a sum of Rs.1.26 crores with the

Registrar, Original Side and upon such deposit being made the arbitration

award is to remain stayed till the disposal of the Section 34 application.

In light of the same, Axis Bank is directed to remove the lien on the

said account and allow the petitioner to withdraw the sum of Rs. 1.26 crores

for payment to the Registrar, Original Side. The petitioner shall continue to

keep the lien on the balance amount.

The matter is made returnable two weeks hence.
