              respondents submits that the writ petition has become

infructuous in view of the judgment delivered by the Hon'ble Division Bench of this Court on 4th May, 2018 in the matter of Pradip Kumar Karak & Ors -vs- The State of West Bengal & Ors. in M.A.T. No. 36 of 2001 with C.O.A. No. 384 of 2006.

Let the matter appear in the list once again on 16th July, 2021 under the heading "For Orders".

The learned advocate for the State respondents shall communicate this order to the learned advocate for the petitioner.

It is made clear that in the event the learned advocate for the petitioner is not present on the next date of hearing, the matter will be dealt in his absence.
