2. The Civil Writ Petitions are of 1998. Criminal Writ Petition No. 2092 of 2004 is only slightly younger, but not by much. There cannot obviously, therefore be a greater delay. List this group for final disposal on 13th, 14th, 15th and 17th March at 2.30 pm. The hearing must conclude within that time. All Interim Applications are to be listed along with the Writ Petitions on that date.

3. To facilitate the hearing, we permit all parties to file--

(a) Advance concise notes of arguments in hard and soft copy by 3rd March 2023. These notes must be no more than about 20 pages each. They must not be in a font less than 12 point serif. We do not permit long extracts or quotations from either the record or judgments or other materials in these notes. References to compilations are permitted in footnotes.

(b) Separately, a list of dates, again in hard and soft copy, will be required.

(c) Both sides may also tender compilations of authorities proposed to be relied on. These must be indexed and paginated.

4. Further--

(a) All submissions, list of dates and compilations must be on A4 white paper.

(b) For soft copies, all compilations and notes must be bookmarked.

12th January 2023 908-OSWP-2372-1998.DOC

(c) The index of the authorities compilations must also be hyperlinked to the relevant pages of the compiled judgments.

(d) If not already done, the entire record in all the Writ Petitions (including the Interim Applications that are pending) is to be digitized in accordance with the established procedures. Assistance may be taken from the Court Registry if required. A soft copy of this digitized record is to be provided on a pen drive to the Court Associate also by 3rd March 2023.

5. In the meantime, all ad-interim orders stand extended until 21st March 2023.
