I.A.No.1 of 2024
Heard Sri Srikanth Reddy Ambati,
learned counsel for the Revision Petitioner.
Learned Assistant Public Prosecutor
takes notice on behalf of the State/Respondent.
Considering the submissions made, this Court in Crl.R.C.No.1691 of 2008, partly allowed the Revision Case reducing the sentence of imprisonment from one year to three months for the offence punishable under Section 27(b)(ii) of the Drugs and Cosmetics Act and also reduced the sentence of imprisonment from one year to three months for the offence punishable under Section 28 of the Drugs and Cosmetics Act. The remaining part of the judgment of the Appellate Court which was impugned in the Revision is confirmed.
In that view, the petition is allowed. Now, it is clarified that the sentence which was reduced by this Court for the offences punishable under Sections 27(b)(ii) and 28 of the Act, shall run concurrently.
