1. Heard learned counsel for the applicant and learned Standing Counsel.

2. This application under Section 12 of the Contempt of Courts Act has been filed alleging wilful disobedience of the judgment and order dated 20.12.2024 passed on Writ-A No. 12595 of 2024.

3. Learned counsel for the applicant submits that the direction issued by the writ Court has not been complied with and, therefore, the respondents may be summoned and punished.

4. Shri Sunil Bajpayee, learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents, while filing affidavit of compliance duly signed by respondent no. 2-Mr. Manvendra Singh, Director, Ayurvedic Services, U.P., Lucknow, submits that the decision has already been taken on the representation of the applicant by the competent authority on 25.04.2025. It is, thus, submitted that the contempt application is liable to be dismissed.

The aforesaid affidavit of compliance is taken on record.

Considering the submissions advanced by the learned counsel for the applicant, learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel and going through the order of writ Court as well as contents of the affidavit of compliance, including the order dated 25.04.2025 passed by Principal Secretary, Department of Ayush, U.P., Lucknow, this Court is of the view that the decision on the representation of the applicant has already been taken by the respondent and no contempt is made out.

6. In view of above, the contempt application stands dismissed.

7. However, it is open to the applicant to avail appropriate remedy against the decision taken by the respondent, if he feels so aggrieved.
