1. List revised. No one appears on behalf of the respondent to press this appeal. Sri Bade Lal Bind, learned State counsel is present, who has been heard.

2. The present appeal has been filed by the appellant against the judgment and order dated 01.10.2003 passed by Special Judge (N.D.P.S. Act), Court No.1, Ghazipur in Sessions Trial No.201 of 1997, Police Station Jangipur, District Ghazipur.

3. As per office report dated 19.12.2023, a report from C.J.M. concerned was called for regarding living status of the respondent in present appeal. In compliance of the said order, C.J.M. concerned vide letter dated 21.08.2023 informed that the respondent - Paras Nath Yadav has died. The said report has been sent after due enquiry.

4. Accordingly, the appeal stands abated.

5. The trial court records, if received, be sent back along with the communication of this order. Office to communicate this order to the District and Sessions Judge, concerned within two weeks from today.
