A mention was made for taking up the matter out of turn keeping in view the urgency and last date fixed by the Supreme Court as 15.09.2023, this Court finding the matter to be an urgent summoned the records from the Registry and heard the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as learned Standing Counsel for the State-respondent.

The controversy raised in the present writ petition is similar to one decided by this Court in Writ C No. 7819 of 2023 vide judgment dated 14.09.2023. As the issue raised is similar and the decision is a non-speaking one, the present writ petition is disposed of directing the respondents to pass a fresh order on the request for grant of affiliation treating the report of AICTE as final. The other benefits given in favour of the petitioner of Writ C No. 7819 of 2023 shall apply to the petitioner of this writ petition also. The respondents shall grant approval on the report of AICTE to the petitioner.
