1. Present petition has been filed with the following reliefs:

"I. Issue a writ or direction in the nature of MANDAMUS commanding the Opposite parties to consider the case of the petitioner for appointment on compassionate ground subject to services of the husband of the petitioner is treated as regular under dying in harness Rules, 1974.

II. Issue a writ or direction in the nature of MANDAMUS commanding the Opposite parties to consider and decide the representation-dated-15-05-2023 in terms of order and judgment dated-03-08-2021 passed in case of Priti Sharma Versus State of U.P. which is contained as Annexure No. 14 to this writ petition."

2. Considering the fact that the application of the petitioner is pending consideration before respondent no.2, the present petition is disposed off directing respondent no.2 to take a decision on the application filed by the petitioner. While doing so, respondent no.2 shall take into account the judgment in the case of State of U.P. & Ors. v. Priyanka Verma; 2022 (40) LCD 1216.

4. The decision, as directed above, shall be taken within a period of two months.

5. This order has been passed in the presence of Shri Savitra Vardhan Singh, learned counsel who has put in appearance on behalf of respondent nos.2 & 3.
