1. Shri Alok Kumar Srivastava, learned counsel for the petitioner, learned Standing Counsel for the State-respondents and Shri Sanjay Kumar Om, learned counsel for respondent Nos. 2 and 3.

At the very out set, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the claim of the petitioner as regards compassionate appointment consequent to the death of her husband Shri Sunil Kumar in terms of the judgment and order of this Court dated 5.3.2022 passed in Writ-C No. 4979 of 2022 is pending consideration with respondent No. 2. He submits that purpose of filing this writ petition would be served if directions are issued to the respondent No. 2, Managing Director (Rural), U.P. Jal Nigam, 6, Rana Pratap Marg, Lucknow to consider and pass appropriate orders on the pending representation of the petitioner.

3. Learned counsels appearing for the respondents submit that they have no objection to the aforesaid proposition.

4. Considering the submissions advanced, this Court is of the opinion that no useful purpose would be served by keeping the writ petition pending and the same is accordingly, disposed of requiring the respondent No. 2, Managing Director (Rural), U.P. Jal Nigam, 6, Rana Pratap Marg, Lucknow, seized with the representation of the petitioner dated 15.3.2022 , to pass appropriate orders thereon, after considering all aspects of the matter expeditiously, preferably within a period of six weeks from the date of service of a certified copy of the order of this Court.

5. Needless to say that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the case and it shall be open for the respondent No. 2, Managing Director (Rural), U.P. Jal Nigam, 6, Rana Pratap Marg, Lucknow to pass appropriate orders strictly in accordance with law.
