Sri Akhilesh Kumar, learned counsel for the petitioners and Sri Ambrish Shukla, learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel appears for the State-respondents.

The challenge, in the present petition, is with regard to the reservation in OBC category, which has been quashed by this Court vide judgment and order dated 27.12.2022 in Public Interest Litigation (PIL) No. 878 of 2022.

In view of the directions issued by the Apex Court to conduct a fresh exercise in relation to the reservation for the OBC category for local bodies election, the present petition is rendered infructuous and is, accordingly, dismissed.
