1. Present petition has been filed with the following prayers:

"I. Issue any other writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the opposite parties to forthwith sanction the ex-gratia payment in terms of Government Orders dated 01.06.2021.

II. Issue any other writ, order or direction of a suitable nature commanding the opposite parties to forthwith disburse the amount of ex-gratia payment of Rs.30.00 lacs along with interest at such rate as may be specified by this Hon'ble Court within a period to be specified by this Hon'ble Court.

2. Considering the fact that the application of the petitioner for grant of ex-gratia compensation is pending before respondent no.2, the present petition is disposed off directing respondent no.2 to take a decision on the application filed by the petitioner in the light of relevant government order as well as in the light of the judgment in the case of Kusum Lata Yadav v. State of U.P. & Ors. (Writ - C No.28249 of 2021) decided on 25.07.2022, expeditiously, preferably within a period of six weeks.
