Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for the State.

Present writ petition is being preferred for a direction to the District Consumer Forum Shamli to decide Case No. 26 of 2018 (Ali Sher Vs. Vidyut Virtan Khand-III, Paschmanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam Ltd. Shamli) and another expeditiously.

Learned counsel for the petitioner states that matter is pending before the District Consumer Forum, Shamli since the year 2018 and even thrice matter has been finally heard and posted for delivery of judgment/ order but for one reason or the other proceedings have not been finalised.

Once the Court has declined to interfere in writ jurisdiction under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, confronted with the situation, learned counsel for the petitioner fairly submits that a direction may be issued to the District Consumer Forum, Shamli to decide the pending case of the petitioner, expeditiously.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, without adverting to the merits of the case and on consent, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the District Consumer Forum Shamli to decide the pending Case No. 26 of 2018 (Ali Sher Vs. Vidyut Virtan Khand-III, Paschmanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam Ltd. Shamli), strictly in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible and preferably within three months from the date of presentation of certified copy of this order, after providing opportunity of hearing to the parties concerned and without according unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties and in case adjournment is required, the same shall be given with exemplary costs.
