The instant petition has been filed for alleging non-compliance of the order dated 19.03.2018 passed in Writ Petition No.7812 (S/S) of 2018 (Pateshwari Prasad Vs. State of U.P. & others) whereby the petitioner was granted the benefits of the order passed in Writ Petition No. 421 (S/S) of 2018 (Bhuwan Chandra Joshi and another Vs. State of U.P. & others) which has been referred in the said decision.

Mr. Pankaj Khare, learned Standing Counsel submits that the aforesaid decision has been rendered ineffective inasmuch as special appeals were preferred against the said orders which also included the orders passed in the instant writ petitions and the Division Bench of this Court by means of the judgment dated 31.10.2019 allowed the special appeals and the matter has been remanded to the learned Single Judge for deciding the matter afresh.

In view of the aforesaid as well as noticing the judgment dated 31.10.2019, a copy of which has been provided to the Court for perusal, which is taken on record, this Court is satisfied that the instant writ petition does not survive.

Accordingly, the contempt petition stands dismissed.

Notices, if any, stands discharged.
