2. No one appears for the applicant while Sri Gaurav Mehrotra, learned counsel appearing for the respondents submits that the present contempt petition was filed alleging disobedience of the order dated 16.8.2017 passed in writ petition No.17563 (M/B) of 2017 whereby this Court had directed the Election Commission to hold elections of the Nazibabad Society for which the petitioner has approached this Court and would also make an endeavor to hold the elections of the remaining three societies once again and immediately thereafter shall proceed to hold elections of the Apex Society. It has also been submitted that the said interim order lost its significance and existence when the matter was finally decided by means of order dated 16.1.2018. It has also been submitted that by means of order dated 16.1.2018 further directions were issued to the Election Commission for holding elections in light of the judgment and order dated 16.1.2018, as such, the interim order has lost its significance.
3. Considering the aforesaid facts nothing remains to be complied and there is no allegation that the final judgment and order has not been complied. The present contempt petition is accordingly consigned to records.
