The office report shows that as per report of Chief Judicial Magistrate, Lakhimpur Kheri dated 30.6.2021, the sole appellant Chhotey Singh has died, as such, the appeal stands abated.

The appeal is, accordingly, disposed of as abated.

On perusal of the judgment and order dated 14.12.2011 passed by the court below in Sessions Trial No. 656/1997, it transpires that apart from the present appellant, other co-accused person(s) was/were also convicted.
