Case :- CIVIL MISC REVIEW APPLICATION No. - 57 of 2021

Applicant :- Shyam Krishna Srivastava In S/S 31380 Of 2018

Opposite Party :- State Of U.P.Thru.Prin.Secy. Irrigation & Ors.

Hon'ble Chandra Dhari Singh,J.

Heard learned counsel for the review- petitioner and the learned counsel for the respondents.

This is a petition for review of the judgment and order dated 18.02.2021 passed in Writ Petition No.31380 of 2018.

Hon'ble Supreme Court in the cases reported in (1995) 1 S.C.C. 170, Meera Bhanja (Smt.) vs. Nirmala Kumari Choudhary (Smt.) and (1997) 8 S.C.C. 715, Parsion Devi and others Vs. Sumitri Devi and others has held that the scope of review under Order 47 Rule 1 C.P.C. is very limited and this jurisdiction can be invoked only, if there is mistake or error apparent on the face of record.

In the instant case, there is no error apparent on the face of record and, therefore, the review petition is devoid of merits.

It is accordingly dismissed.

Order Date :- 15.3.2021
