Order on Delay Condonation Application.
Heard on the application for condonation of delay. There is a delay of 920 days in filing the appeal i.e. more than two and half years. No explanation to condone the delay of 920 days has been given other than to show that the petitioner-appellant is an illiterate person. Thus was not knowing about limitation for filing the appeal.
Ignorance of law is no excuse and otherwise even as per the statement of appellant, he could know about the judgment in June, 2020 when he visited at Allahabad for bathing in Ganga. The appeal was not preferred immediately thereupon also. Thus inordinate delay of 920 days cannot be condoned on the grounds urged by the appellant.
The application for condonation of delay is accordingly dismissed.
Order on appeal.
In view of the aforesaid, the appeal also stands dismissed.
