Heard learned counsel for the petitioners as well as Sri Pankaj Srivastava, learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel for the respondents.

The present petition has been filed by the petitioner under Article 226 of the Constitution of India with following prayers :-

"(i) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the respondents to consider the candidature of the petitioners for appointment on the post of ASI-M, while treating the degrees possessed by the petitioners as equivalent to the 'O' level certificate issued by DOEACC/NIELIT.

(ii) Issue such other order or direction, which this Hon'ble Court deems it just and proper in the facts and circumstances of the case may also be passed protecting the rights and interest of the petitioners.

(iii) Award the cost of writ petition to the petitioners."

Sri Pankaj Srivastava, learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel for the respondents submits that the issue involved in the present case is covered by the judgment and order dated 26.03.2021 passed by co-ordinate Bench in Writ Petition No.20385 (S/S) of 2019 along with other connected cases. He, therefore, submits that this writ petition may be disposed of in the light of the judgment and order dated 26.03.2021 (supra).

Since there is no dispute regarding the issue of this writ petition being identical to one which was involved in Writ Petition No.20385 (S/S) of 2019, this petition is allowed in terms of judgment and order dated 26.03.2021 passed in Writ Petition No.20385 (S/S) of 2019.
