In essence, it has been pleaded that the petitioners were selected as Assistant Teachers by the Management and have already joined. Letter of selection and appointment was forwarded by the District Inspector of Schools, Balrampur, to the Joint Director of Education, Devi Patan Mandal, Gonda on 18.5.2011 for approval to the appointment of petitioners and payment of their prescribed salary. Till date, the approval has not been given. Consequently, salary is not being released to the petitioners, although the petitioners are serving since 04.4.2011

Sri Rahul Shukla, learned Standing Counsel, contends that instructions in this regard would be taken within ten days from today as to whether the issue has been considered by the Joint Director, Education, Devi Patan Mandal, Gonda, respondent no.3.

In case, decision has not been taken, respondent No.3 is directed to apprise this court as to the causes for delay for such unreasonable period.

Let a copy of this order be conveyed to the respondent through Shri Rahul Shukla, learned Standing Counsel.
