About the Event

The National Moot Court Competition 2026 is the flagship legal event of the School of Law, MIT Art, Design & Technology, University.

Designed to simulate real-world courtroom proceedings, the competition invites aspiring legal minds from top law schools across India to engage in high-quality advocacy, research, and legal analysis. This national event aims to nurture excellence, professionalism, and courtroom ethics in budding lawyers.

Eligibility

The Competition shall be open for the students who duly enrolled and are pursuing an integrated 5 years or 3 years Law Program in India from an institution recognized by the Bar Council of India.

How to Register?

Interested candidates can register online via the link given at the end of the post.

Teams shall register for the competition on or before 23:59 Hours 13th February, 2026, by sending an email with the subject ‘Registration for the National Moot Court Competition 2026- mootcourt.mitsol@mituniversity.edu.in after completing the online registration form.

Fee

  • The registration fee for the competition for Teams is 4000 INR.
  • Additional Rs. 3,000/- (for teams qualifying for Quarter-Finals Onwards) covering fooding & lodging for 2 days i.e. 27th & 28th March, 2026.

  • Release of Moot Proposition: 10th January, 2026
  • Commencement of Registration: 10th January, 2026
  • Closing of Final Registration: 13th February, 2026
  • Last Date for Seeking Clarifications: 13th February, 2026
  • Release of Clarifications: 17th February, 2026
  • Last Date of Memorial Submission: 17th February, 2026
  • Inaugural Ceremony & Preliminary Rounds (Online): 28th February, 2026
  • Inaugural Ceremony & Quarter-Final Rounds, Semi-Final Rounds (Offline in the campus): 27th March, 2026
  • Researcher’s Test, Final Round & Valedictory Ceremony: 28th March, 2026

  • Winner Team: ₹30,000 Trophy + Certificates
  • Runner-Up Team: ₹20,000 Trophy + Certificates
  • Best Memorial: ₹10,000 Trophy + Certificates
  • Best Speaker: ₹10,000 Trophy + Certificates
  • Best Speaker (2nd) Best Oral Advocacy (2nd) ₹8,000 Trophy + Certificates
  • Best Researcher Participant securing highest score in Researcher’s Test: ₹10,000 Trophy + Certificates
