The National Law University Tripura invites applications from academically innovative, research-driven and self-motivated applicants for the position of Visiting Faculty on a contractual basis, up to six months commencing from April, 2024. The position is open for teaching both on-campus in-person teaching and online teaching. The visiting faculty is invited to teach the following courses and programs at NLU Tripura:

Economics
Sociology
Company Law/Corporate Law
Family Law
Transfer of Property Law
Jurisprudence
Labour Laws

Eligibility

A Master’s Degree in a relevant discipline with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade on a point scale, wherever the grading system is followed), in case of General Category applicants. And a relaxation of 5% may be provided at the graduate and master’s level for the Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, and Differently-abled categories for the purpose of eligibility and assessment of the applications for the Visiting Faculty position.
Applicants with a Ph.D. degree or those enrolled as Ph.D. Scholars in any reputed university in India or abroad will be preferred o National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR, or a similar test accredited by the UGC, like SLET/SETNET, will be considered optional in case of the selection of Visiting Faculty is not mandatory.
Candidates with a high level of proficiency in written and spoken English will be given a preference.
Candidates who have experience of teaching in the National Law Universities will be preferred.

Responsibilities

Delivering lectures and conducting classroom exercises for the assigned courses.
Providing tutorial classes and being available for student consultations.
Drafting question papers and evaluating answer scripts.
Conducting viva-voice or presentations for the class projects, as applicable.
