This Workshop is designed to provide an intensive and scholarly engagement with the application of forensic science within legal processes. It examines how scientic methods are employed during investigation, evidence collection, analysis and judicial evaluation, situating forensic practices within established legal and procedural frameworks.
The workshop addresses multiple forms of forensic evidence including medical, physical, documentary, biological and digital evidence, highlighting their role in supporting fact finding in adjudication. Particular attention is given to institutional practices, standards of reliability and the manner in which courts scrutinise expert opinion and scientific conclusions. rough close engagement with judicial reasoning and selected case studies, the workshop illustrates both the evidentiary potential of forensic science and the consequences of procedural lapses.
Overall, the workshop seeks to cultivate a critical, yet balanced understanding of forensic science as an aid to justice operating in dialogue with legal principles, due process and judicial oversight.
Student who are pursuing their graduation, LLB, BA LLB, LLM¸ all law students, advocates etc are eligible.
