The ‘Criminal Law Forum’ at PGCL embodies a noble mission – to promote research, training, policy analysis, and consultancy in the realm of Criminal Justice, Criminal Law, Criminology, and Victimology. The forum is actively engaged in various activities, including workshops, seminars, training programs, conferences, and symposiums.

About Indian Society of Criminology (ISC)

The Indian Society of Criminology (ISC) was founded in 1970 with the goal of advancing the study and application of Criminology and Allied Sciences for societal welfare. It aimed to foster cooperation among individuals interested in preventing and controlling the escalating issue of crime. Initiated by dedicated professionals including Professor T. E. Shanmugam, Mr. Pitchandi, Justice V. R. Krishna lyer, Mr. Pon Paramaguru, IPS, Professor K. Chockalingam, and Mr. K. Mani, ISC swiftly evolved into a leading national organization.

Recently, ISC expanded its mission to promote Criminological education and advanced research in the field. As part of this effort, ISC organizes an annual International Conference at various locations, attracting aspiring Criminologists and encouraging interdisciplinary engagement in the field of Criminology.

About the Event

This thought-provoking event aims to bring together legal experts and enthusiasts to delve into the dynamic shifts occurring in the field of criminal law. It will feature in-depth discussions on three pivotal bills aimed at amending the Indian Penal Code (IPC), the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC), and the Indian Evidence Act.
