About the Organiser/College/University

The Gender Justice and Child Rights Club, Amity Law School, is a student-driven academic body dedicated to promoting discourse on gender equality, child rights, constitutional values, and social justice. The Club regularly organises symposiums, panel discussions, and research-oriented events addressing contemporary socio-legal and environmental issues.

Amity Law School functions under the aegis of Amity University Uttar Pradesh, a leading private university committed to academic excellence, research innovation, and interdisciplinary engagement.

The symposium is being organised in collaboration with IJA Foundation Trust, which works towards sustainable development, environmental awareness, and inclusive governance initiatives aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Details About the Event/Opportunity

On the occasion of International Women’s Day, the organisers are hosting a One-Day National Symposium titled:

“Save Himalaya, Save Earth: An EcoNari-Vision”

Date: 11th March 2026

The symposium aims to examine the intersection of environmental governance, climate action, and women’s empowerment, with a special focus on the Himalayan ecosystem and mountain livelihoods.

Selected research papers will be considered for publication in an edited volume/online journal.

Who Is It For / Eligibility

The event is open to:

  • Academicians and Faculty Members
  • Research Scholars and Ph.D. Candidates
  • Legal Professionals and Policy Experts
  • NGO Representatives and Civil Society Members
  • Undergraduate and Postgraduate Students (Law and allied disciplines)

Co-authorship (maximum two authors) is permitted.

Registration / Submission Procedure

  • Participants must submit an abstract (250–300 words) along with a full paper.
  • Manuscripts must be submitted in MS Word format (.doc/.docx).
  • Subject Line: Submission – EcoNari-Vision Symposium 2026
  • Submissions to be sent via email to the official organising committee email (to be notified).

For attendees (without a paper presentation), prior registration through the official link/form is mandatory.

Fee Details 

There is no submission fee.

  • Best Paper Award (Certificate of Excellence)
  • Best Student Research Paper Award
  • Certificates of Participation for all presenters and attendees
