The Alternative Dispute Resolution Cell (ADRC) of Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Punjab (RGNUL), in collaboration with Centre for Trade and Investment Law (CTIL), New Delhi is pleased to invite you for the RGNUL-CTIL National Colloquium on Investment Arbitration on 12th October, 2018 taking place at RGNUL, Punjab.The Colloquium would comprise of lectures delivered by eminent personalities in the field of Investment Arbitration, and the lectures will be followed by a Panel Discussion on the ongoing “Vodafone-India BIT Arbitration.”

Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Punjab
Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law (RGNUL), Punjab, was established by the State Legislature of Punjab by passing the Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law Punjab Act, (Punjab Act No. 12 of 2006).
The Act incorporated a University of Law of national stature in Punjab, thereby fulfilling the need for a Center of Excellence in legal education in this modern era of globalization and liberalization.
Centre for Trade and Investment Laws, New Delhi
The Centre for Trade and Investment Law (CTIL), New Delhi was established in the year 2016 by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, at the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), New Delhi.
The Centre’s primary objective is to provide sound and rigorous analysis of legal issues pertaining to international trade and investment law to the Government of India and other governmental agencies.
Panelists
Dr. James J. Nedumpara: The Head of the Centre for International Trade and Investment Law (CTIL) at the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) and an advisor to Government of India on international trade and investment law.
Dr. Prabhash Ranjan: A Professor at South Asian University, New Delhi, Member of the sub-committee of the Law Commission that drafted the 260th report on Indian Model BIT (Bilateral Investment Treaty), and formerly, a Visiting Fellow at Cambridge University, and a Visiting Scholar at Sydney University and Brookings India.
Satwik Shekhar: A Legal Consultant at the Centre for Trade and Investment Law (CTIL), Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), and previously, an Associate at the New Delhi office of Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas.
Namit Oberoy: The briefing counsel in various high-stake commercial and investor treaty arbitrations, and an advisor to a varied range of start-ups & SMEs.
Dr. Vipan Kumar” An Assistant Professor of Law at RGNUL, Punjab, who is Dual Qualified (as Solicitor in England and Wales), and experienced in the field of International Taxation and Investment Law.
